TaskStars is a task management system for kids with gamification elements. Parents create tasks, kids complete them and earn coins. Saved coins can be spent on rewards in the shop.
A parent signs up, creates a child profile with a PIN, adds tasks and rewards. Then the child can sign in via a special link and start completing tasks.
Each parent has a unique link. The child opens it, picks their profile and enters a 4-digit PIN. No email, no complex passwords!
Coins are awarded when a task is marked done. The amount depends on task difficulty (1, 2 or 3 coins). A +1 coin bonus is given for completing all daily tasks of the day.
Levels show a child's overall progress. They are calculated from all coins earned over time: 0–19 coins = level 1, 20–49 = level 2, 50–89 = level 3, and so on.
Parents create rewards and set their price in coins. It can be anything: ice cream, a trip to the movies, extra screen time. Kids see these rewards in their shop and can buy them with the coins they have saved.
Yes, safety is our priority. We don't store unnecessary personal data, all passwords are securely hashed. Children's data is minimal: just a name and a PIN. We don't share information with third parties.
